Antelope Creek Bridge

Built 1922Howe Truss58 ft spanNRHP #

Antelope Creek Bridge is a 58-foot Howe truss covered bridge spanning Little Butte Creek in Jackson County, Oregon. Built in 1922, it is one of the smaller covered bridges in southern Oregon, tucked into the forested hill country of Jackson County east of Medford.

The compact bridge serves a rural road through the Antelope Creek drainage, a tributary of the Rogue River system. Its modest scale is well-proportioned to the narrow creek crossing.

Antelope Creek Bridge was built in 1922 to serve the ranching and timber communities in the upper Antelope Creek valley. The Jackson County interior supported cattle grazing and small-scale logging operations that required reliable creek crossings throughout the hill country.

The bridge has served local traffic for over a century and remains in service as part of the rural road network in eastern Jackson County.
