Wildcat Creek Bridge

Built 1925Howe Truss75 ft spanNRHP #

Wildcat Creek Bridge is a 75-foot Howe truss covered bridge spanning Wildcat Creek in Lane County, Oregon. Built in 1925, it serves a rural road in the Coast Range foothills west of the Willamette Valley, in the drainage system that feeds into the upper Long Tom River watershed.

The bridge is representative of the mid-1920s construction era in Lane County, when the county was actively expanding its covered bridge network to connect the growing number of farms and homesteads in the hill country west of Eugene.

Wildcat Creek Bridge was built in 1925 as part of Lane County's early 20th century covered bridge program. The Wildcat Creek drainage west of Noti supported small farms and timber operations that required reliable creek crossings to connect with the main valley roads.

The bridge has been maintained by Lane County over the decades and continues to serve rural traffic in this quiet corner of western Lane County.
